November 29th: National Flossing Day

Did You Know Today is National Flossing Day?

After enjoying your Thanksgiving feast, it’s pretty convenient that the following day is National Flossing Day!

Flossing is an important part of your oral care routine. In fact, the American Dental Association (and the team here at BRAIDC!) recommends flossing at least once a day! There are a variety of different flossing products that will help you remove food and plaque buildup between professional cleanings. Plaque can turn into calculus or tartar if left on your teeth, but flossing helps to prevent that from happening. This will be especially important after all the rich foods you indulge in on Thanksgiving.

Other Benefits Include:

  • Gum Disease Prevention
  • Gingivitis Prevention
  • Reduces Bad Breath
  • Reduces the risk of Respiratory Disease
  • Can Help Prevent Heart Disease

Enjoy your day with friends and family on Thanksgiving. Also, enjoy all of the tasty treats you want! Be sure to celebrate #NationalFlossingDay today AND every other day!
